• I live in Southeast Asia, splitting my time between Thailand and Malaysia.
• I've been an expat all my adult life—my 20s in Canada, and my 30s across the US, Germany, and South America.
• I hold a combined degree in Computer Science and Economics from the University of Victoria, Canada.
• I spent 8+ years at Amazon as a Sr. Product and Engineering Manager, leading the development of large-scale machine learning platforms that power multiple AWS services.
• Before Amazon, I led engineering teams at Canadian tech startups, including Hootsuite.
• In late 2024, I quit Amazon, sold everything, and left the US with one duffel bag.
• In 2025, I acquired a business with a friend—that’s what I’m focused on now.
• I've been a minimalist since 2012. Everything I own in the world fits in one duffel bag that I can carry with one hand.
• I’m into ultralight backpacking, long walks, Personal Knowledge Management (PKMs), investing, and financial independence.
